On this day: Monday 8 August!

Hello! On this day in 1794, Captain George Vancouver and Joseph Whidbey led an expedition to search for the Northwest Passage in Alaska. The discoveries of Captain Vancouver and Captain Cook are charted on this terrestrial globe, which was made by J. & W. Cary of London in 1806. This globe is on display in the MUSA Collections Centre! If you would like to arrange a visit to come along and see this fascinating object, please contact Claire Robinson, Project Officer, on cr67@st-andrews.ac.uk or 01334 461 699!
