Poetic MUSA – Pucara Bull

MUSA recently took part in StAnza poetry festival. Below is one of the five fantastic poems which won our competition and are now on display in MUSA.

Pucara Bull by By Janette Ayachi

Pucara Bull

Made by a mother not a matador

for her child to scuff in the dust

as she imagines herself riding not taming

across vast sun-stained plains

her hair plaited with ribbons, dreaming

as bright as the patches on her poncho.
