Everyday Journeys Photo Competition

What journeys do you make every day?  Perhaps your journey to class or to work?  Perhaps your walk around the supermarket?  Maybe your trip to the kitchen to get a cup of tea?

To celebrate the opening of the new Journeys exhibition at the Gateway Galleries, we’re asking you to send in creative photographs depicting these Everyday Journeys.  A selection of the entries will be displayed digitally in MUSA, where visitors from all over the world will have the opportunity to see your talent. The winner will also receive a £30 Amazon voucher to spend on whatever they like.

There are two ways to enter:

–          You can tweet  your picture to @musa_standrews

–          You can email your picture to museumlearning@st-andrews.ac.uk

Entries must be received by Wednesday 30th May.

Journey up Butts Wynd

Journeys celebrates 600 years of the University of St Andrews by placing key events from its history into the context of the wider world.  The journeys made by those living and learning in this small town are examined from the point of view of students, staff and the wider community using items from the University’s museum collections.

The Gateway Galleries show changing exhibitions on a varied range of topics.  It can be found in the Gateway building on the North Haugh and is open 9-5 Monday to Friday and 12-4 on Saturdays.  Entry is free.

By entering the Everyday Journeys Photography Competition you give the University of St Andrews permission to use your entries in free publications, online, including via social media outlets, and in displays.  The photographer will retain copyright of their image and will be credited wherever the image is used.  Anyone depicted in your photographs must have given their permission to be included.
